Dear [Name],
Thank you very much for contacting DAN LALIBELA TOURS.
Below is a sample itinerary I propose for your visit to the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela and a trek to Asheton Maryam Monastery.
**Day 1:**
* Fly to Lalibela. Upon arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the town.
* After lunch, begin exploring the magnificent rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, often referred to as "the living wonders of the world." These churches have stood for more than 900 years and remain active centers of Christian worship and spirituality.
* You will visit the Northwestern Cluster, which includes:
* Bet Medhane Alem
* Bet Maryam
* Bet Meskel
* Bet Danaghel
* Bet Mikael & Golgotha
* Overnight stay: Harbe Hotel, Lalibela
**Day 2:**
* After breakfast, trek to Asheton Maryam Monastery (3,200 meters above sea level).
* **Asheton Maryam Monastery:** This monastery was started by King Lalibela and later finished under the rule of King Ne'akuto Le'ab (1215–1255). Although less elaborate architecturally compared to the other churches in town, this site provides stunning mountainous vistas. As you make your way up towards the monastery, the landscape grows progressively beautiful. Your path leads past quaint village life before ascending further into the hills where the actual monastery sits. While challenging due to its length, the ascent rewards travelers immensely upon their arrival.
* The monastery continues to be operational today, housing a local priest who greets guests warmly and showcases religious artifacts like old wooden crosses and an illuminated bible filled with vibrant illustrations.
* After lunch...
