Rotorua Highlights Tour

Upon arrival into Port of Tauranga, a day of sightseeing, storytelling & cultural connection awaits… Bound for Rotorua (approx 1.5hrs), enjoy an array of our all inclusive snacks & bottled water, sit back and take in the many beautiful scenic views. We begin with a visit to the Government Gardens, you’ll see the Whangapipiro Rachel Pool known for its therapeutic waters. Come face to face with the big Californian Redwoods at Whakarewarewa Forest, over 55,000 acres. Take a stroll at Kuirau Park, witness hissing, roaring & bubbling geothermal activity. Kick off your shoes & indulge in a warm foot spa in one of the foot pools (towels supplied). Next up, Lake Tarawera, meaning Burnt Spear, one of the largest lakes in New Zealand. Weather permitting, we might make a pitstop at Te Puia for some souvenir browsing.

HELLS GATE SHORE EXCURSION

Bound for Rotorua (approx 1.5hrs), enjoy an array of our all inclusive snacks & bottled water, sit back and take in the many beautiful scenic views. Take a geothermal walk which takes between one and one and a half hours, as well as Māori carving. Then bathe in our world-famous mud baths and soak in the sulphur spas and cool plunge pool. We may do additional sightseeing activities to enhance your experience up to the maximum time available to allow a comfortable return to the cruise ship. Activities may include: Redwoods walk, Kuirau Park, Rotorua Lakefront, Scenic drive to Lake Tarawera lookout and viewing of the hidden paintings.
