Well, we will start in the medieval town of Evora, but our ride on the motorcycle sidecar begins near the windmills at Alto de Sao Bento, where the Celts were the first inhabitants known as Eborones. From here, you can drive round to view the remains of Rome’s influence with its Ancient ramparts that once surrounded Liberalia Iulia Ebora (the name given by Romans), including the Roman temple or Torre Sertorio. Then within the Old Citadel your tour continues through what was left behind by both the Visigoths and Moors who referred to it as 'Yeborah'. Next stop back in time again for us now - AD 1166 when the First Charter of Evora came out; nearby stands the cathedral dating from the thirteenth Century – an architectural gem combining Romance and Gothic influences externally speaking. In front of said building there lies one of Europe's most beautiful squares containing many historical landmarks such as Templo da Diana, Mosteiro dos Loios & Museu Municipal do Evora.
